Introduction

BaseFlow ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to input and save data directly to their Baserow database tables. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our extension.

Information We Handle

1. Information You Provide

Baserow Credentials

• Your Baserow API URL and API token
• Stored locally in your browser's secure storage
• Never transmitted anywhere except to your Baserow instance
• You can delete these at any time through the extension settings

Form Data

• Any information you type into BaseFlow forms
• Sent directly from your browser to your Baserow database
• We never see, store, or have access to this data
• Direct connection between you and your Baserow instance

Workspace Configuration

• Custom names for your databases and workspaces
• Visual preferences (colors, icons)
• Your selected tables and field preferences
• All stored locally in your browser

2. License Information (Pro Users Only)

If you purchase BaseFlow Pro, we collect:

• Your email address for license validation
• A device identifier to enforce device limits
• Payment information (processed by Stripe, not stored by us)

This information is used solely to:

• Verify your Pro license status
• Provide customer support
• Enforce license terms (device limits)

How Information Is Used

• Your Baserow Credentials are used only to authenticate API requests to your Baserow instance
• Your Form Data passes directly from the extension to your Baserow database. We have no access to this data
• License Information is used only to validate Pro features and provide support

Data Storage

All extension data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API:

• chrome.storage.local: For persistent settings and credentials
• chrome.storage.session: For temporary session data

No data is stored on our servers except Pro license records (email and device ID only).

Data Sharing

We do NOT share your information with third parties, except:

• Stripe (Pro users only): Processes payments securely. We don't store payment details
• Your Baserow Instance: The extension sends data directly to the Baserow API URL you provide

We never:

• Sell your data
• Share data with advertisers
• Use data for marketing
• Share data with analytics services

Data Security

• Local Storage: API tokens are stored using Chrome's secure storage APIs
• Direct Connection: All data transmission is directly between your browser and your Baserow instance over HTTPS
• No Intermediary: We don't route data through our servers
• Secure Development: Built with security best practices

Your Rights and Controls

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete All Data: Remove the extension or clear extension data in Chrome settings
• Modify Settings: Change or delete workspace configurations at any time
• Revoke Access: Delete your API token from the extension to revoke Baserow access
• Export Data: All your data is in your Baserow instance, which you fully control

Chrome Permissions Explained

The extension requires certain Chrome permissions:

• storage: To save your settings and credentials locally
• activeTab: To read the current page URL and title when you explicitly choose to save it
• scripting: To inject form interface when you click the extension
• alarms: To periodically validate Pro licenses

These permissions are used minimally and only for the stated purposes.

Children's Privacy

BaseFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services

• Baserow: Your data is subject to your Baserow instance's privacy policy and terms
• Stripe (Pro users): Payment processing is subject to Stripe's privacy policy
• Chrome Web Store: Distribution is subject to Google's privacy policy

Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained until you delete the extension or clear data
• License Data (Pro users): Retained while license is active and 30 days after expiration
• We Never Store: Form data, Baserow content, or browsing activity
